1 of 2 suspects in Target theft, knife attack charged

Sheriff: 2nd suspect taken to Brantley County, where he had outstanding warrant

Cherrish Elizabeth Mishoe, 23, and Dustin Ryan Daniels, 25, were wanted for armed robbery, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and grand theft.

Deputies released pictures of the pair about 8 a.m. Friday, asking for the public's help to locate the fugitives. They were found about five hours later in Georgia.

Mishoe was booked Tuesday into the Nassau County Jail, where she's being held on a $110,000 bond. She made her first appearance in court Wednesday morning, where she was charged with armed robbery, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and grand theft. Mishoe’s next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 5.

Daniels was taken Tuesday from Pierce County to Brantley County, Georgia, where he had an outstanding warrant for aggravated assault, according to Leeper.

Leeper said the charges in Georgia will be taken care of there first before Daniels is brought to Nassau County. Daniels is being held at the Brantley County Jail, according to jail records.

Deputies said Mishoe and Daniels were seen at 6:11 p.m. Dec. 5 on Target security cameras as they loaded their shopping carts and tried to leave the store without paying for about $1,000 worth of merchandise.

As they tried to leave, a store employee confronted them, and Daniels pulled a knife and cut the employee several times on the wrist and hand, deputies said. The pair then drove away in a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck, officials said. The employee's injuries required several stitches.

Target said the employee is going to be OK, fortunately, and the store has been cooperating with the investigation.
