Crews battle fire at vacant hotel

JFRD says 2 units caught fire at Executive Inn on Northside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two units at a vacant hotel on the city's Northside caught fire Tuesday evening, the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department said.

Crews were called just after 6:30 p.m. to the Executive Inn at Busch and Balmoral drives. The fire was out in less than 30 minutes.

Firefighters said there was no power at the hotel, which has been vacant for some time. 

No injuries were reported. The state fire marshal's office was called to investigate.
