Maserati stolen out of Orlando crashes into bushes, deputies say

Two vehicles that were later determined to be stolen were parked at the home, deputies said.

Witnesses saw two people run out of the home and drive away in separate vehicles at a high rate of speed. Deputies said a red Maserati stolen out of Orlando crashed into bushes at the intersection of White Mill Drive and Whiteview Parkway after the driver lost control.

The driver fled on foot in the area of Wheel Place. The Sheriff's Office said deputies and a K-9 unit chased the driver through yards and behind homes.

They found Jaquadis Johnson, 21, at the corner of Wheatfield Drive and Wheeler Lane in Palm Coast. Deputies said he was arrested and charged with grand theft auto, resisting arrest without violence and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.

The Sheriff's Office said deputies were unable to locate the second person involved and vehicle, though they were tracking leads.

Johnson was not injured in the incident, deputies said.
