JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 41-year-old Jacksonville woman is facing arson charges after investigators said she intentionally set a fire as she was moving out of her home last summer.

The fire on July 15 on Pate Road West destroyed the home, investigators said, but no one was hurt.

Jennifer Lynn Avery was arrested Wednesday and is being held in the Duval County jail on $100,003 bond. She was transferred there from the Marion County jail. It's unclear why she was in jail in Marion County.

The Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigations was called to help determine the cause of the fire in July and learned that before the fire, Avery and another resident of the home got into an argument.

The fire was set as Avery was moving out, investigators said.

Because of the extensive damage, an exact area of origin was not determined, investigators said, but the charred remains of a couch were found in the area where investigators believe the fire was originally set.

Avery's arrest report said she must be cleared by a mental health practitioner before she could be released.
