Trial delayed again for teen accused in clerk's murder

Sergio Morgan-Wideman, 17, is charged with shooting store clerk in robbery

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – A St. Johns County judge has again postponed the trial of Sergio Morgan-Wideman, who’s accused of gunning down a store clerk in St. Augustine in 2015.

At a hearing Monday, the defense asked for a continuance, saying it needed more time to examine materials to be presented to an expert on gunshot residue evidence.

Morgan-Wideman's attorneys said they also need more time to go over jail calls and cellphone records.

The trial was scheduled to begin Jan. 10, but it has been pushed back until March 20.
