JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has called off the search for a missing boy after he was found safe in Jacksonville.
8-year-old Damauriyus Jemaine Wilson was found safe around 1:08 a.m.
Police initially announced Thursday night. that Damauriyu was considered a runaway who was last seen about 7 p.m. on Regency Drive near Dunn Avenue.
The boy, who is described as being 4 feet tall and weighing 75 pounds, was reportedly wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and no shoes.
Damauriyus took some brownies without permission and ran off because he thought he would get in trouble, according to JSO.
Police said he has left numerous times before.
