2 teens arrested in Palm Coast home burglaries

Deputies: Guns, boat among stolen items recovered

PALM COAST, Fla. – A 19-year-old and 15-year-old were arrested Monday in connection with two Palm Coast home burglaries, the Flagler County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday. 

Nasir Clark, 19, is charged with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and grand theft.

Harrison Moreno, 15, is charged with possession of a short-barreled shotgun or machine gun, burglary while armed, grand theft, motor vehicle grand theft, possession of a firearm by a minor, possession of cannabis with intent to sell, giving a false name upon being arrested or detained and driving without a driver’s license.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a relative of a homeowner went to check on the house on Fleming Court and discovered it had been burglarized. Deputies said the stolen property from the burglary, which occurred on Jan. 3, was linked to another residential burglary reported Dec. 31 at a Birchwood Drive home.

“This was the first burglary on my watch so I take it personally,” Flagler County Sheriff  Rick Staly said. "I’m very pleased that we were able to make arrests in this case."

Deputies said the recovered stolen property, which may be tied to other burglaries, included:

  • Mac 10-style handgun with eight live rounds
  • .25-caliber Phoenix Arms semi-automatic handgun
  • Pellet rifle
  • BB-style handgun
  • Barnett Jackal Crossbow
  • Various 9mm ammunition with live rounds
  • Several baggies of marijuana
  •  Xbox video game, controller and headphones
  • Jewelry
  • Handbags
  • iPhone 6
