When they arrived, police said, several black juveniles ran from a vehicle, which had been stolen in Jacksonville and contained several stolen items. A search then began.

Atlantic Beach officers were assisted in the search by Neptune Beach police officers as well as the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office's helicopter, patrols and K-9s.

Five teenagers, ages 14-16, from Jacksonville's Westside were later caught, police said.

According to police, the teenagers committed at least six burglaries to unlocked cars and open garages on Sunday night.
