Honorably discharged U.S. military veterans would get a sales-tax break when buying clothes during the Veterans Day holiday, under a measure filed Tuesday by state Rep.
Mel Ponder, R-Destin. The measure (HB 263) would lift sales taxes on most clothes and footwear priced $60 or less from Nov. 10 through Nov. 12.
The proposal would require veterans to show proof of military status when buying the items.
