A Florida missing child alert issued Tuesday for a 16-year-old Tavares girl has been canceled.
According to the alert, Sarah Evans was last seen in the area of Bracknell Forest Trail in Tavares, wearing a purple tank top, camo pants, black flip flops and a dark blue or black backpack.

The alert said she was possibly headed to the International Drive area of Orlando.
The FDLE sent a notice Thursday that the alert had been canceled, but did not give details about why.
