JSO: 4 women arrested in prostitution sting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Four women ranging in age from 28 to 42 were arrested Wednesday on prostitution charges during a sting in the South Metro area, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

Three of the arrests took place at various locations on Philips Highway, and the fourth occurred on nearby Emerson Street.

All four offered to perform a sexual act on an undercover deputy in exchange for money, according to the arrest reports.

The bust was part of the Sheriff's Office's efforts to crack down on prostitution citywide. Last week, police said, seven women were arrested on prostitution charges.  

Here are the names of the four arrested Wednesday and the charges they face:

  • Atara Filmore, 29, is charged with offering, committing or engaging in prostitution or assignation -- third and subsequent offense.
  • Ashley Gunter, 28, is charged with using, or possession with intent to use, drug paraphernalia and offering, committing or engaging in prostitution or assignation -- third and subsequent offense.
  • Tamara Kline, 29, is charged with offering, committing or engaging in prostitution or assignation -- third and subsequent offense.
  • Lanice Riley, 42, is charged with offering, committing or engaging in prostitution or assignation -- second offense.
