Person hospitalized in NW Jacksonville shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One person was sent to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound after a shooting Saturday evening, according to Jacksonville police.

The shooting happened near the intersection of West 30th and Wilson Streets. When police got to the scene they found numerous shell casings, but they didn't find the person shot.

Later, that person was located several blocks away near the intersection of West 19th Street and Moncrief Road. That person was taken to the hospital with injuries described as non life-threatening.

Detectives are working the case, but there is no suspect description.
