GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. – A Georgia man who escaped from custody Thursday while being transported to court might have been spotted on St. Simons Island, according to the Glynn County Sheriff's Office.

Law enforcement officers asked for the public's help finding Richard O'Quinn, 38, and several citizens reported seeing him on St. Simons Island.

O'Quinn is a nonviolent offender who was charged with theft and credit card fraud, the Sheriff's Office said.

O'Quinn, who's described as being 5 foot 11 inches tall and weighing 155 pounds, is not believed to be armed or dangerous, authorities said.
