Deputies: Armed man sought in Georgia bank robbery

NAHUNTA, Ga. – The Brantley County Sheriff's Office are searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a bank in Nahunta.

Deputies responded to the Marshland Credit Union on West Cleveland Street Monday morning to reports of an armed robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 20 and 30 years old. He was wearing a ski mask and a hooded sweatshirt, deputies said.

Brantley County deputies said the man was armed with a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of money from the bank. He then fled on foot to a residential area behind the bank building.

The robbery is under investigation by the Brantley County Sheriff's Office, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
