Police seek man accused of killing 2 people last summer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are asking for the public's help locating a man wanted in connection to a double murder last summer.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office have obtained an arrest warrant charging Gerrod Devon Wilson, 23, with two counts of murder in two shooting deaths July 1, 2016, near the intersection of Dekle Avenue and New Kings Road, just south of Interstate 295.

Jennie Lou Hawley, 34, of Jacksonville, and Demetrius Aundrae Robinson, 33, from Columbia, South Carolina, died after the shooting.

Police described Wilson as a black man with brown eyes and black hair, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. They said he should be considered armed and dangerous.

According to the jail records, Wilson was arrested on charges of armed possession of cocaine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in January 2016. In August 2012, Wilson was convicted of armed robbery.
