JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A St. Augustine man won $1 million on a scratch-off ticket purchased in Ponte Vedra Beach, lottery officials said Monday.

Joseph Lemmon, 47, chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $728,894, according to the Florida Lottery.

The $20 game, $5,000,000 Flamingo Multiplier, has been around since September 2015.

The winning ticket was sold at the FCE shop at 195 Corridor Road.

The Florida Lottery headquarters are in Tallahassee. Scratch-off games make up about 65 percent of ticket sales.
