Sheriff walks Brookwood community to curb crime

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams, Assistant Chief Mat Nemeth and other officers walked the Brookwood community in Nocatee on Tuesday afternoon in an effort to curb crime. 

They spent time talking with residents about their concerns. 

The walk began at 4:30 p.m. on Willow Ridge Drive and ended on Valley Ridge Boulevard.

Earlier in the day, Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry and members of JSO held a crime walk in the Justina Road community in Arlington.
