The Jacksonville Scottish games comes to town
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Northeast Florida Scottish games rolls into town this weekend.
If you've never been to Scotland, here is your opportunity to experience the culture of Scotland.
This one day event will host highland games which include caber toss, stone throw, hammer throw and sheaf toss, The music of Scotland will be on full display as pipe and drum bands play music. Authentic food will be on sale and a petting zoo featuring Scottish animals will be on site.
The event will be held at the Clay County Fairgrounds located at 2497 State Road 16 West just outside Green Cove Springs on Saturday Feb.25 from 9 a.m to 5 p.m.
Tickets are $12 in advance at area tickets outlets and $15 at the gate. Children under 10 are admitted free.
