News4Jax spoke with Elizabeth Naylor, who was granted citizenship at the ceremony after applying last August. Naylor said that she felt at home the first time she came to the U.S. 50 years ago, and is grateful her citizenship is now official.
“I think the people there are so kind and loving and forgiving and open and happy in comparison to places I've lived before,” Taylor said.
Naylor said she plans to go out with her friends for champagne to celebrate her new citizenship.
