JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was arrested Thursday in the hit-and-run death of a Jacksonville woman nearly a year ago, the Florida Highway Patrol said.Â
Joshua Calvin Yale is charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a traffic crash involving death.Â

The night of April 11, Rebecca Ann Gomez, 33, was struck and killed while walking to a convenience store on Normandy Boulevard, near Herlong Airport on the city's Westside, the Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said her body wasn't found until the next morning and announced that they were looking for a 1994-1998 Chevrolet Suburban or Chevrolet Tahoe, possibly yellow, that was in the area the night of the crash. .
On April 13, troopers found a yellow 1990 Chevy pickup at a Westside home, and the investigation revealed it was the vehicle that hit Gomez, according to FHP.
More than 11 months later, Â troopers said, Yale turned himself in Thursday at FHPÂ headquarters, where he was officially charged at the at-fault driver in the crash that killed Gomez.Â
Yale was booked into the Duval County Jail, where he's currently being held on $250,000 bond.Â
