Police searching for man after shooting in Westside home

Officers said 2 men were arguing when gun was pulled

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are looking for a man who they say shot another man in the chest after Wednesday afternoon during an argument in a home near the intersection of Lane Avenue South and Normandy Boulevard, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police said it happened on Revels Road just before 1 p.m. Sgt. Ron Feacher said the two men were arguing when one of them pulled a gun and shot the other. The victim, whose name has not been released, was hospitalized with a non-life-threatening injury.

Police said other people who were in the home at the time were not injured.

The gunman was gone when police arrived, but they are searching for him. Feacher said the victim and gunman knew each other and there was no need for neighbors to be alarmed.
