FHP: 2 caught with over 200 grams of methamphetamines in tissue box

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – Two men are facing drug trafficking charges after troopers pulled them over for speeding March 14, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Gregory Melvin Jr., 30, of Hartwell, Georgia, and Tyler Duke, 23, of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, are charged with trafficking methamphetamines and possession with intent to distribute, troopers said.

According to the FHP report, a trooper pulled over the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt the men were in at about 4 p.m. March 14 on I-75 in Columbia County for speeding and having an improper window tint.

Troopers said they smelled marijuana so they searched the car and found a tissue box filled with 208 grams of methamphetamines.

Troopers said Melvin also had a drug pipe in his pocket.

The men are being held in the Columbia County Jail.
