60-year-old robbed by 2 men while walking on street, police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 60-year-old man was robbed Tuesday night by two other men while walking on North Liberty Street, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said. 

According to the incident report, the victim told police that he saw two black males in their early 20s walking the opposite direction on North Liberty Street near East Church Street.

Police said one of the men than approached the victim, saying 'Give me your money.' The victim reported that the man had his hand under his shirt, but he never saw a weapon.

The 60-year-old then tried to walk across the street to get away from the man, when the second man came up to him.

The victim told police he then took $7 out of his pocket, threw it on the ground and ran away. He said he saw the two men, who he did not know, grab the money then run the other way. 

Police said they have not found the two young men. The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
