JFRD: Fire Marshal investigates 'suspicious' fire on Westside

Structure fire backed up traffic on Blanding Boulevard at 103rd Street

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The state fire marshal was called Thursday night to investigate a "suspicious" commercial building fire on the city's Westside, Jacksonville Fire Rescue said.

The fire was reported just after 8 p.m. and backed up traffic on Blanding Boulevard at 103rd Street.

Fire Rescue said the blaze was under control in 15 minutes, but the flames damaged the roof and attic, where the fire started. 

The structure that caught fire is detached from another building with the same address, and the name of the business is unclear.
