Crews battle half-acre fire in Orange Park

ORANGE PARK, Fla. – Clay County Fire Rescue and units from Jacksonville Fire Rescue were called Friday to battle a half-acre fire near homes on Oakleaf Plantation Parkway, not far from Forest Hammock in Orange Park.

Fire officials told News4Jax that seven crews responded to the scene.

The fire was out by 10 p.m., but crews remained on scene to monitor and mop up what was left.

Fire officials were unable to confirm how the blaze started. 

No injuries were reported.
