LAWTEY, Fla. – Lawtey police have arrested a man they said was caught with marijuana, hydrocodone, and thousands of dollars in cash in his car, on Friday.
Detectives said Kevin Shawn Hammond, 53, was driving through Lawtey when an officer pulled him over for a traffic violation. That officer smelled marijuana and began a search of Hammond's vehicle.
More than five pounds of marijuana, 31 hydrocodone pills, and over $3,000 in cash was found.
Hammond was booked into the Bradford County jail and held on $50,000 bond.
