JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Some firefighters were treated for heat issues after two small adjacent businesses in the St. Nicholas neighborhood caught fire Thursday afternoon, the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said.

The fire was extinguished just before 3 p.m., but emergency vehicles blocked Atlantic Boulevard, near Bishop Kenny High School, for several hours.

The off-ramp from Interstate 95 to Atlantic Boulevard was also closed.

There's no word yet on the extent of damage to the structure, which houses both businesses.
