JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two young men are being questioned after shots were fired Friday morning near the intersection of 26th Street and Fairfax Avenue, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Officers said no one was shot, but a home with a woman and two children inside was hit by gunfire.

Police said several shots were fired from more than one weapon, but officers would not say if the men were shooting at each other.

"Obviously, it's a danger for anyone who lives here," JSO Lt. Ashish Sircar said.

Police said several people witnessed the shooting and provided information, which allowed officers to quickly identify the two people involved.

Those detained, both in their 20s, were taken downtown to be interviewed.
