PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – An alligator was found Friday hiding under a woman's car in Ponte Vedra Beach, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said.

The woman was afraid to get into her vehicle, so she called the Sheriff's Office for help.

Deputies were able to safely get the reptile out from underneath the car.

They then handed the young alligator over to a trapper, who was going to release it back into the wild in Guana State Park.
