Burglar targets Beach Road Chicken, JSO says

Man drips blood around restaurant but cleans up after himself

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man smashed his way through a window in the dining room of Beach Road Chicken and burglarized the business, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

The burglary took place just after 3 a.m. April 29 at the restaurant in the 4100 block of Atlantic Boulevard, investigators said.

Officials with the JSO aren’t sure who is responsible for the crime.

The man climbed through the window and apparently hurt himself at some point, as he dripped blood through several areas of the restaurant.

Prior to leaving the business, the man took various items and attempted to clean up the blood with a spray cleaner, deputies said.

Anyone who has any knowledge of the burglar’s identity is asked to call the JSO at 904-630-0500 or email the office at JSOCrimeTips@jaxsheriff.org.
