Deputies: Middleburg man, 21, arrested in road rage incident

Connor Thurston charged with aggravated assault with deadly weapon

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – A Middleburg man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a road rage incident May 7 on Blanding Boulevard, the Clay County Sheriff's Office said. 

Connor Thurston, 21, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to the arrest report, a couple and their two children were driving south on Blanding Boulevard, and saw they were being tailgated. The father slowed down to let the tailgater pass, and when he did, the driver pointed a gun at them in an aggressive manner, deputies said.

The father got the tag number, and reported it to the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies went to Thurston’s home, and he was arrested.
