JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Thursday evening near the Ortega neighborhood, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.
Police identified the victim as Jacob Harris, of Jacksonville.

Just after 8 p.m., police said, a vehicle on southbound Roosevelt Boulevard tried to turn left onto Wabash Avenue and collided with the motorcycle traveling north on Roosevelt Boulevard.
Harris was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, police said.
The driver of the vehicle is OK and is cooperating with police, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Traffic homicide detectives continue to investigate.
