JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police arrested a woman on Thursday who is accused of killing a man last May in a crash while driving under the influence of alcohol, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Lark Dana Hodge, 21, was charged as the at-fault driver in the crash that killed 47- year-old Derrick Lamar Jones on May 29, 2016.
Troopers said that after months of extensive investigating, they concluded that Hodge was responsible for the crash, and arrested her at a home.
According to the arrest report, Hodge was driving on Heckscher Drive when she crossed the center lane and crashed into Jones. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Hodge recently won custody of her two children for six months.
Hodge is charged with DUI manslaughter, police said. She is being held on a $75,003 bond.
