PALM COAST, Fla. – A man was killed Sunday when his car collided with another car, then flipped before hitting a concrete utility pole and catching fire, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Joshue Venegas, 29, was driving north on Old Kings Road shortly after 3 a.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve and clipped the back of 36-year-old Brad Turner’s southbound truck.

The collision forced Venegas’ 2013 Chrysler 300 to flip on its side before slamming into a nearby utility pole and catching fire, officials said.

Officials did not clarify if Venegas died at the scene or at a hospital.

Turner was uninjured in the crash, officials said.
