ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Injuries were reported in a three-vehicle crash that resulted in two semitrucks overturned and another passenger car badly damaged Tuesday evening near World Golf Village, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers responded about 7 p.m. to the crash on northbound Interstate 95 at International Golf Parkway.

The tractor-trailer and semi cab were both overturned on the right side of I-95 with a third car damaged several feet behind.

Rescue crews had to extract people from one of the vehicles, troopers said.

It is unknown what the extent of injuries are at this time or what may have caused the crash.

There were heavy traffic delays after the crash shut down two right lanes of I-95 for a couple hours.

The Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
