CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – A custodian found a loaded gun last Friday in the street near a Clay County elementary school, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office said.
There were no students on campus when the gun was found near the Shadowlawn Elementary School, officials said.

The school immediately called the Sheriff’s Office after the gun was found, deputies said.
Officials said deputies were able to identify the owner of the gun and returned it.
