Deputies: Percell Brinson, 25, was considered 'dangerous'

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – An inmate who escaped from the Department of Corrections on Tuesday afternoon was captured Wednesday in Fort White, authorities said.

Multiple law enforcement agencies searched the Fort White area of Columbia County for Percell Brinson, 25, who escaped about 12:20 p.m. from the Hamilton County Work Camp in Jasper, Florida, according to the Florida Department of Corrections. 

Columbia County and Alachua County sheriff's offices assisted corrections officers with the search. 

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office posted Wednesday on Twitter that Brinson was captured off Albany Road in Fort White after a brief foot chase.
