Deputies: Woman stole more than $600 worth of goods from Publix

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies are looking for a woman who was captured on surveillance stealing more than $600 in merchandise from the Publix grocery store on County Road 210 Thursday, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said.

According to deputies, the woman conned the cashier, saying the store manager told her she didn't have to pay.

The manager told deputies the woman has done this before, saying she steals from one Publix and returns the merchandise at another Publix to get a gift card for the amount of the merchandise.

Anyone who recognizes the woman is asked to email Deputy R. Owens with the Sheriff's Office at rowens@sjso.org.
