JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A third arrest has been made in connection with a shooting in late May on Clyde Drive in the Harborview neighborhood, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

During a traffic stop Tuesday, police said, 21-year-old Xavier Payne was arrested on charges of attempted murder and attempted home invasion.

According to the police report, officers were called about 4:15 p.m. on May 24 to a home, where they found a 39-year-old man, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds in his side and legs, lying in a bathtub.

The man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A witness, who was in another room when the shooting happened, told police he heard someone ask about money and then heard gunshots. The witness hid in a closet until he could hear the shooter leave, police said.

The day of the shooting, police said, 26-year-old Roderick Love was arrested on charges of attempted murder and attempted armed robbery.

Two weeks later, 27-year-old Amyrah Miller was arrested June 7 on the same charges, according to police.
