Domino's delivery driver duped by fake bills, deputies say

St. Johns County Sheriff's Office investigating case of counterfeit bills

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Deputies are investigating a case of counterfeit bills, the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said. 

A Domino's Pizza delivery driver said she went to make a delivery Tuesday night and the customer met her in the driveway of a St. Augustine home, according to an incident report.

The delivery driver told deputies that the customer gave her the money, and asked for $10 change.

When she got back to her car, deputies said, the delivery driver realized that customer had actually given her three fake $20 bills.

The driver said she tried to look for the customer, who had already walked off, but couldn't find him.

The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
