JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The 8th Annual Stop the Violence Recognition Banquet was held in Riverside Thursday to honor those that give their lives to build a safer and stronger Jacksonville.
Judge Charlie Cofer served as the guest speaker for the event.

One of the many people honored was Sheriff Mike Williams. Fourteen students were also given $100 gift cards for academic achievement.
Williams tweeted out after the event thanking the organization for the recognition and congratulating everyone.
