Clay County detectives: 2 sunglass bandits sought

Duo stole thousands in designer shades, deputies say

ORANGE PARK, Fla. – Detectives are looking for two people in connection with a theft on May 13 at the Sunglass Hut at the Orange Park Mall, the Clay County Sheriff's Office said.

The pair stole designer sunglasses worth $1,290, deputies said.

The individuals as both being black males between 45 and 55 years old.

According to deputies, one distracted the sales associate, while the other, who was wearing a camouflage baseball cap with a U.S. Marine Corp insignia, stole two pair of Gucci sunglasses, a pair of Prada sunglasses and a pair of Versace sunglasses.

Detectives also believe the pair stole four pair of designer sunglasses worth over $1,000 from the same store on Feb. 28.
