JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Three days after officers found 53-year-old Phyllis Vines dead in a home on Commonwealth Avenue, police released her name, but they still don't know how she died, or if it was a crime.
After neighbors called 911 early Thursday morning about a foul odor coming from a home on Commonwealth near the intersection of Canal Street. Homicide detectives said it appeared she had been dead for several days.
As of Sunday evening, her death is still classified as an undetermined death and remains under investigating.
