Police release surveillance video showing minivan pull up next to victim's car

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who burglarized a car in the St. Johns Town Center area, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

On Thursday, police released surveillance video showing a dark-colored minivan parking next to the victim's car.

In the video, police said, a black male can be seen getting out of the rear passenger side door of the van, breaking the driver's side window of the car and then reaching inside it. 

The man gets back into the van, which then takes off. 

Investigators said the minivan appears to be a black newer-model Dodge Caravan. 

It's unclear when the auto burglary occurred.
