Costco, Walmart, Winn-Dixie close Saturday evening

Multiple businesses close as Hurricane Irma approaches Florida

As Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia prepare for potential damage from Hurricane Irma, multiple area businesses have closed their doors.

All Jacksonville-area, Clay County and St. Augustine Publix grocery stores are closing at 6 p.m. Saturday and will be closed through Monday. Click here for more information.

The following Walmart locations are closed:

  • 6830 Normandy Blvd
  • 1650 San Pablo Road South
  • 2355 US Highway 1 South (St. Augustine)
  • 1521 West Granada Boulevard (Ormond Beach
  • 464016 State Road 200 (Yulee) and 1385 Amelia Plaza (Fernandina Beach)

All Jacksonville Walmart locations will close at 5 p.m. Saturday. Click here for more information about Walmart closures.

All BJ’s wholesale stores in Jacksonville and Orange Park will close at 6 p.m. Saturday through Monday. 

Costco will close at 6 p.m. (regular hours) and reopen at 10 a.m. Sunday. The store could close early Sunday but will make that decision the day of. Monday’s hours are to be determined.

The following Winn-Dixie stores will be closed:

  • Brunswick -- 284 Hyde Park Commons and 5420 New Jesup Highway
  • Yulee -- 96076 Lofton Square Court
