Officer with JSO involved in crash after spotting a stolen truck

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An officer with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was in a crash after spotting a stolen truck.

JSO says the officer was in the area of Moncrief Road and Myrtle Avenue at 2:40 Sunday morning when the stolen truck was spotted.

Police say the JSO cruiser collided with another citizen's car at Moncrief and W. 22nd St.

Two women were transported to a hospital with minor injuries. The officer was not hurt.

Police did not provide information about the stolen truck.
