Police: Bandit quickly arrested after SunTrust bank robbery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man who robbed a SunTrust bank on Jacksonville's Westside was quickly caught Friday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The man walked into the bank at 9530 Argyle Forest Blvd. just before 10 a.m., implied he had a gun and demanded money from a teller, police said.

The robber ran out with the cash and was spotted near the nearby Home Depot, where he was arrested without incident, police said.

It was the 13th bank robbery this year in Jacksonville. There were 12 in all of 2016.
