FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, acting on a search warrant, said it arrested two men early Monday and seized narcotics and weapons.
A tactical team entered the two-bedroom house on Ryall Lane and found three firearms, about 260 grams of marijuana, 17 grams of cocaine, three MDMA tablets and 14 tablets of a controlled substance, as well as drug paraphernalia and ammunition.
The suspects attempted to flush the marijuana as deputies entered the house, but were unsuccessful. One firearm, an AK47 semi-automatic rifle, was found in a young child’s bedroom closet.
“Our patrol and Special Investigations Unit are working hard to get the poison peddlers off the streets and in the Green Roof Inn,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “Take your drugs and guns and get out of Flagler County, because we will find you.”
The raid follows last week’s multi-agency raid on violent drug dealers.
“Raids will continue until dirtbags understand we will not tolerate drugs and guns in Flagler County,” Staly said.
Shawn Christopher Crawford, 35, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of a new legend drug. He is being held on $31,000.00 bond.
Deputies arrested Dhaighamyoosuf Tariq Khawaja, 27, and charged him with possession of cannabis with intent to distribute, possession of MDMA, destruction of evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on $8,000 bond.
