JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – We topped out in the low 80s under increasingly cloudier skies. The winds died down a bit today, but will build back up along the coastline tonight & tomorrow.
Tonight will be mild with isolated showers, mainly to the East of Highway 301. Temperatures will sink down into the mid to low 70s under relatively cloudy skies.
Tuesday expect building northeasterly winds, especially along the coastline. There is a 30% chance for coastal showers to wander onshore tomorrow. Highs will top out in the low to mid 80s under partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies. Flooding during high tide is expected. High tide at Mayport is at 6:29a.m. and 6:54p.m, at the Main Street Bridge in Downtown Jacksonville at 7:49a.m. and 8:13p.m, and in Green Cove Sprigs at 11:26a.m. and 11:51p.m.
The onshore winds will continue through this week, bringing coastal clouds and showers onshore and elevated levels of high tide that will cause minor to moderate flooding. Temperatures will be held in the mid to low 80s for afternoon highs. The onshore winds will prompt a high risk for rip currents along our shoreline.
