Man, woman arrested on drug charges after undercover investigation, deputies say

Sheriff's Office: Detectives recovered around 50 narcotic medications

PALATKA, Fla. – A man and a woman have been arrested on drug-related charges following an undercover investigation, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said.

The PCSO SWAT Team executed an early-morning search warrant in the 1400 block of Diana Drive in Palatka following a three-month-long undercover narcotics investigation by the Sheriff's Drug and Vice Unit.

Deputies said that during the undercover investigation, Michael Brown Jr., 34, and Rachel McNeal, 35, sold hydromorphone to undercover detectives on multiple occasions from the residence.

The residence is across the street from a city of Palatka park where children often play, deputies said.

Detectives recovered around 50 narcotic medications during the execution of the search warrant, deputies said.

McNeal was charged with four counts of sale of opiates within 1,000 feet of a municipal park and use of a communications device to commit a felony. Deputies said she is being held in the Putnam County Jail on a bond of $402,000.

Brown was charged with sale of opiates and the use of a communications device in the commission of a felony. Deputies said he is being held on a $102,000 bond.
